The FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2025 is gearing up, and excitements reached new milestone with the recent unveiling of the official match ball during a grand event at Seychelles’ State House.
A Launch Marked by Prestige and Passion
The handover of the official match ball took place at the State House in Victoria, where Mr. Elvis Chetty, President of the Seychelles Football Federation, presented the ball to His Excellency President Wavel Ramkalawan. The ceremony was attended by members of the President’s cabinet, and in a show of support, President Ramkalawan took a ceremonial kick with the ball.
Emy Casaletti-Bwalya, Marketing and Communications Director for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2025, expressed her gratitude and excitement for being part of the event. Sharing the news on her Instagram, she also teased more thrilling updates leading up to the tournament, scheduled from 1–11 May 2025.

The Stage is Set
The picturesque Seychelles, known for its idyllic beaches and turquoise waters, is the perfect backdrop for the world’s premier beach soccer tournament. From May 1–11, 2025, 16 teams will compete for the ultimate prize. Eight teams, including two-time champions Portugal, Spain, Italy, Belarus, Tahiti, Mauritania, Senegal and host nation Seychelles, have already secured their spots. The remaining slots will be filled by March 2025 through regional qualifiers:
- CONCACAF: Bahamas will host the event to select two teams.
- CONMEBOL: Chile will determine three representatives.
- AFC: Thailand will host the selection of three Asian contenders.
