After the agreement between Beach Soccer Worldwide and Sobytie Communications, promoters of the last three editions of the Mundialito de Clubes, the top-class beach soccer competition will stay in Moscow, at least for three more years. This agreement is the confirmation of the shared plans of both parties, who share the same vision for the most prestigious International Clubs event of the Beach Soccer global panorama.
After the first five editions in Brazil, the Mundialito de Clubes has found a dream home in the Russian Capital City, becoming a resounding success both in terms of beach soccer level, crowd attendance and media interest. After moving this last 2021 to the CSKA Arena, the event is ready for new chapters and challenges.
Some of them have been already unveiled by Mikhail Struchkov, General Director of Sobytie Communications, who explained some of the things we can expect in a near future. “This is great news for the development of the event and beach soccer in Russia. We have great plans for the Mundialito de Clubes. In our agreement with BSWW, we plan to jointly create a competition for youth categories, as well as integrate Women’s games in the Mundialito de Clubes“.
“The children in Russia have great role models with the Beach Soccer National Teams, both men and women, and the strong Russian clubs, and it is great to see how important the Mundialito de Clubes is in the education of these children“, he said.
In turn, Gabino Renales, Beach Soccer Worldwide Executive Vice-president, highlighted the great understanding between both parties. “The success experienced during the last editions of the Mundialito de Clubes is the best proof that Sobytie is the perfect companion for beach soccer in Russia. They have proven their huge professionalism and have offered top-level solutions for the Mundialito de Clubes, which is undeniably one of the most prestigious events in the World. Our close collaboration with Sobytie has been instrumental to make the competition grow, and we are delighted to see our relationship extended, as we know it will bring many more amazing things in the future, and we are very thankful for that. Similarly, BSWW President Joan Cuscó remembered how strong the beach soccer heartbeat is in Russia, a country which has become a master lesson on how to use its potential to develop beach soccer to the highest level, with a strong Football Union (RFU) a passionate fanbase and loads of beach soccer talent. “Beach Soccer will not stop growing in Russia, also thanks to collaborations like this one. The support by the fans, the stunning local talent, at all ages, and the high level of professionalism in the country make the perfect formula for that. We are happy to be a part of this success story, which has seen its latest chapters with the glory by the Russian National Teams, both Men and Women, the stunning World Cup, and the excellent Mundialito. The love story between Russia and Beach Soccer will not cease to grow.”, he assured.
