Two prestigious events, the Llorenç Cup and the Madjer Cup, stand as beacons of youth beach soccer excellence while honouring its legendary figures, they prepare for the future of Beach Soccer.

The emergence of young talent is a vital aspect of the sport’s growth and evolution. Llorenç Beach Soccer Cup, now in its third edition, is set to grace the shores of Torredembarra, Spain, from March 28th to 31st, 2024. Named after Spanish beach soccer icon Llorenç Gomez, this tournament epitomises the spirit of competition and the pursuit of excellence. It’s not just about winning; it’s about contributing to the evolution, development, and professionalism of beach soccer.

Last year, CFP Torredembarra clinched the title on home turf, showcasing the depth of talent nurtured by this competition. With both U16 and U20 tournaments for male and female categories, the Llorenç Cup provides a platform for young players to showcase their skills and aspire to greatness.

Meanwhile, the Madjer Beach Soccer Cup, now in its fifth edition, is set to captivate audiences in Buarcos Bay, Figueira da Foz, Portugal, from June 21st to 23rd, 2024. Named after beach soccer legend Madjer, this tournament transcends borders, bringing together teams from across the globe to compete for glory.

With male U14 and U16 tournaments on the roster, the Madjer Cup is a melting pot of cultures and talent, reflecting the global appeal of beach soccer. From GD Alfarim to GD Sesimbra and SandGames Figueira, past champions have demonstrated the diversity and depth of talent in youth beach soccer.

Both the Llorenç Cup and the Madjer Cup are integral events in the Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW) annual calendar, symbolising the commitment to youth development and the future of the sport. As the Director of Competitions of BSWW emphasises; “nurturing lower categories is paramount for the sport’s growth and longevity”.

These tournaments not only showcase the very best of youth beach soccer talent but also serve as catalysts for the sport’s evolution. By providing a platform for young players to hone their skills, compete at a high level, and learn from the best, the events are instrumental in shaping the next generation of beach soccer stars.
