The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially confirmed the fixtures for the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations, Egypt 2024 Qualifiers.
The draw, conducted on Thursday, June 13, 2024, has set the stage for an exciting competition that will see 14 nations battle for a spot at the finals in Egypt this summer.
According to the official CAF website, The 14 nations eyeing a place at this year’s CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations, Egypt 2024 had their qualifier fixtures officially confirmed.
The qualifiers will take place over a two-legged format, with the reigning African champions Senegal set to face Guinea, while Angola takes on two-time bronze medalists Morocco. Other notable matches include Ghana vs Cote d’Ivoire, Seychelles vs Mozambique and Nigeria will be back in action with Mauritania, after missing out in the last two editions.
The first leg of the qualifiers will take place between 19 – 21 July, with the second and final leg scheduled for 26 – 28 July.
Seychelles, hosts of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup next year, will be looking to secure a place in Egypt ahead of hosting the global showpiece in Africa for the first time. They will face a tough challenge against Mozambique, hosts of the last CAF Beach Soccer AFCON.
