A quick look back at 2025

The 2025 edition in San Salvador remains one of the most exciting yet. The men’s tournament saw Portugal crowned champions after a tightly fought finale against hosts El Salvador, edging the match 3-2 in thrilling fashion. After a flurry of early goals had both sides level following the first period, it was Bê Martins who clinched the decisive strike and topped the scoring charts, guiding Portugal to the top spot.

That title run wasn’t easy. Portugal navigated a competitive field that included Ukraine and Venezuela, both delivering memorable matches that kept fans on the edge of their seats. In the bronze position, host nation El Salvador claimed third, reinforcing the local side’s rise as a competitive force in beach soccer.

Meanwhile, on the women’s front, El Salvador took the title, drawing huge local support and underscoring the growing stature of women’s beach soccer in the region.

What to expect in 2026

The 2026 tournament promises to build on that momentum, with elite teams ready to battle for supremacy on the sand. The inclusion of nations like Denmark and Mexico adds fresh intrigue, while Brazil’s presence ensures that the competition will be fierce and the spectacle unforgettable.
