Beach Soccer to Ignite Seychelles National Day Celebrations.

As the Seychelles National Day approaches, beach soccer enthusiasts are in for a thrilling treat with a captivating three-nation tournament scheduled to take place from June 23rd- 28th.

The national day tournament, which forms part of the festivities to commemorate Seychelles’ National Day on June 29, promises to showcase the vibrant spirit and skill of the participating nations Seychelles, Burundi, and Madagascar.

The competition, planned for six days, culminating in the highly anticipated final on June 28, just one day before Seychelles officially celebrates its national day. The tournament, to be held on the picturesque beaches of Seychelles, will not only provide a platform for intense sporting action but also serve as a testament to the island nation’s commitment to nurturing beach soccer talent.

The tournament is set to feature a diverse range of teams, including the national teams of Burundi and Barea from Madagascar, as well as eight selections from Seychelles. The participation of Burundi alongside Seychelles adds an extra layer of competitiveness and intrigue to the tournament. This gathering of talented teams from different nations will undoubtedly create an exhilarating atmosphere and further elevate the profile of beach soccer in the region.

Travis Julienne and Herald Kowlessur, the appointed coaches for the Seychelles national selections, will seize the opportunity to experiment with their players and continue the development of the national side. The tournament provides a valuable platform for both coaches to assess their team’s performance, strategize, and fine-tune their strategies as they strive for excellence in beach soccer.

The Seychelles national team will be divided into two groups – the White team and the Blue team. Group A comprises Seychelles White, the Under-20 team, Barea, and the Sand Warriors, and Group B consists of Seychelles Blue, the Classic 15, the Lost Boys, and Burundi. All matches will take place at the Beach Soccer Arena in Roche Caiman, offering spectators the chance to witness thrilling displays of skill and teamwork.

Adding to the excitement, organizers have announced free entrance to all the games, including the highly anticipated final on June 28 at 7:45 pm local time. Spectators will not only have the opportunity to witness captivating beach soccer matches but also have the chance to win exciting prizes. In addition to the trophies awarded to the tournament winners, individual prizes, including the coveted “Man of the Match” award after each game, will add to the spectacle and celebrate exceptional performances.

The three-nation tournament marks a significant milestone in Seychelles’ commitment to promoting and developing beach soccer. By hosting this prestigious event during its National Day celebrations, Seychelles aims to reinforce its position as a vibrant hub for beach soccer enthusiasts, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and friendly competition among nations.
