The Interview
As SK Bosnia Teplice prepares for a significant growth, including the introduction of a women’s team, expanded junior programs, and a rejuvenated men’s squad targeting domestic and international triumphs, we sat down with Adnan Beganović to delve into his strategic vision, tackle pressing challenges, and explore the club’s lofty ambitions.
- Adnan, as the founder of SK Bosnia Teplice, what were some of the biggest challenges you faced in establishing and growing the club?
“One of the biggest challenges was building a competitive team from scratch and gaining recognition in the beach soccer community. Our first participation in the Euro Winners Cup qualifying round in 2017 was a turning point. We overcame initial hurdles, secured our first victory, and went on to win our first championship title. Since then, we’ve maintained our momentum.”

- How will you use the club’s success to give back to the community?
“Building a stadium in Teplice is our main target. It will aid in youth development, our future. The facility will serve as a catalyst, fostering the growth of future beach soccer talents. Beyond its primary function, the stadium will transform into a vibrant community hub, promoting social engagement, and spearheading the expansion of beach soccer in the region.”
- What role can beach soccer play in promoting cultural exchange?
“We’re an example of a multicultural community. Players from different background unite like a family. Sport has no borders, no language barriers, and no cultural boundaries. It speaks directly to our shared humanity, transcending differences and forging connections.”
- Share an interesting anecdote from your beach soccer experiences.
“I’ve had to improvise, often without top players. At Euro Winners Cup 2017, I almost didn’t substitute to grab a win against Littoral BS of France. There are many stories, soon, I’ll put these into print, sharing the drama, tension, and triumphs of my beach soccer journey. Until then, the lessons learned will continue to shape my coaching philosophy.”
- What are your long-term goals for SK Bosnia Teplice?
“Deploying a women’s team, and starting a junior project, building a stadium and having players in national team. Also another Czech Republic championship title and ultimately, the World Winners Cup are priorities. By achieving these, we’ll solidify our legacy, drive beach soccer in the region and create a lasting impact on the sport.”
