The day saw more upsets, including BS Mijas Costa’s 2-0 shutout of Pafos BSC and Napoli BS’s penalty shootout win, 4-2, over SoCal Legacy BSC after a 4-4 draw. By Day 3, Falfala suffered a rare 4-1 loss to BSC Vybir but still qualified from Group B with six points, thanks to superior goal difference. The group stages concluded with Falfala, TMS FC, Napoli BS, and others advancing, while underdogs like Barra de Santiago FP impressed with consistent wins.

Falfala’s group journey demonstrated their ability to blend defensive solidity with explosive offence, scoring 13 goals while conceding just 5, building momentum for the knockouts.

Knockout Stages:

The knockout rounds began with the Round of 16, where Falfala KQ BSC asserted dominance with a 3-1 win over Barra de Santiago FP, overcoming an early concession through Jabareen’s equaliser and late strikes. TMS FC’s 7-2 rout of Cevennes Meridionales and Napoli BS’s penalty shootout 5-4 triumph over Casa Benfica Viseu after a 2-2 draw set up intense quarterfinals. Marseille BT’s 7-3 win over Arabi SC rounded out the last eight.

In the quarterfinals, Falfala defeated Sportivo Luqueño 6-3, with Eliott and Rodrigo starring in a second-half surge. Napoli BS edged Rosh Haayin BSC 2-1 in a late thriller, while TMS FC’s 6-2 win over Guaicamacuto and Marseille BT’s 5-3 thrashing of Qadsia Club confirmed the semifinals. Falfala’s semifinal clash with Marseille BT was a defensive masterclass, resulting in a 2-0 shutout victory, thanks to Jabareen’s and Thanger’s goals. Napoli BS’s 4-3 win over TMS FC in the other semi ensured an all-star final.

Falfala’s knockout path highlighted their adaptability, conceding only 4 goals across three matches while scoring 11, proving their championship pedigree under pressure.

The Final:

The grand finale pitted defending champions Falfala KQ BSC against 2023 champions Napoli BS in a tense affair. Napoli struck first with Fazzini’s stunning early goal, holding a 1-0 lead through a resolute first period. The second saw Amer level at 1-1, turning the match into a cagey battle heading into the decider.

Falfala seized the moment in the third, with Moad and Jabareen netting to flip the game for a 3-1 victory. This dramatic comeback crowned Falfala back-to-back champions, underscoring their ability to thrive in high-stakes moments. Napoli BS earned silver, while TMS FC took bronze with a 12-4 win over Marseille BT.

Individual awards celebrated the stars: Breno of TMS FC as Top Scorer with 17 goals in 7 matches, while Falfala’s Eliott won the Best Goalkeeper, and Rodrigo as MVP, epitomising Falfala’s team effort in retaining the title.
